My Experience with Colorbar Ever Sharp Lip Liner Miss Cheat:


The packaging screams itself to be of Colorbar in a silver box and black text. The pencil is black with screw cap, but doesn’t click and this is where the magic happens. When we close the cap, with the screw process it sharpens the tip again. So, next time when we unscrew to open, we again get to see pointy tip. Smart thought there. It’s a good quality plastic and looks sturdy. However, I will still not advice to travel with this, without putting it in a box. Because, no matter how good they are, the pencils are relatively fragile. I am sure the cap will not open because of the screw mechanism.









There is no smell at all. It is a transparent shade, therefore cheat me. It is creamier compared to wooden pencils.
Now, we come to actual action of the product. This absolutely does nothing except making the cream lispticks look semi-matte. That’s it. It doesn’t act as primer. It cannot be used to conceal outlines, as it is zero coverage. When you apply on lips as a lipstick base, it just makes the lips little smooth and mattifies the lipstick. It is transparent, so when you try to swatch, camera picks up nothing. In real, it has slight blurring affect.











Another annoying fact about this product is that you cannot twist it out! Yes! The tip is close to the black end and it cannot be twisted out more. It get sharpened automatically with this tiny height when you close. So, in case if you have used out the exposed product and you need to take out more, you actually have to lock the pencil and unlock it again. Weird!

What is serum?
Serum is a skincare product you can apply to your skin after cleansing but before moisturizing with the intent of delivering powerful ingredients directly into the skin. Serum is particularly suited to this task because it is made up of smaller molecules that can penetrate deeply into the skin and deliver a very high concentration of active ingredients. Since there are little or no chances of any of my five- and six-year-old cousins and nieces or nephews reading this, I deem it safe to admit here that I hate being in the company of kids.

I do not like to acknowledge this, but I’m not blessed with the patience one needs to answer their many queries. Last weekend, though, I ran out of luck when my sisters-in-law decided to go on a shopping spree and leave their kids in my care.

So here I was, on a beautiful Saturday, dealing with the tantrums of three little monsters. The best thing about being a kid is that you can come up with an idea of doing anything, anytime, regardless of how strange, insane or difficult it may be for the elders to fulfill it. So out-of-the-blue, the kids made a plan to go swimming, followed by a trip to the nearby kid’s park and then retire to their favourite ice-cream place.

Nothing I said or did deterred them. Giving in was my only option. But little did I know that this ‘day out’ I was so upset about would turn out to be legendary. The beautiful thing about being with kids, as I found out that day, is that their innocence and happiness is so contagious that it will rub off on you. That’s what happened to me. I found myself enjoying the day without a care in the world, a feeling most of us as adults can’t relate to anymore.

At the end of the day, it’s not about the places you go to or the things you do, but the way you take pleasure in just being yourself and losing yourself in the moment that makes life magical.

wow, well this is not a product I would EVER have thought I’d be raving about! You see, I pretty much live in nude, matte lipsticks – I don’t especially love the shape of my lips (without a liner and full coverage lipstick to define them), so a sheer lip colour would not be something I would ever normally consider. Additionally, I would never normally wear any colour besides 'nude'. So when Dior gave me the opportunity to try-out 5 of their 10 new colours and finishes, I was skeptical as to how I'd get on.....


It's now been 3 weeks and I have worn a Lip Glow every day, with and without a lip liner. I have eaten, drunk, gone to the gym, gone to work - I've even gone to the sauna wearing a Lip Glow - so that I could see if these are as good as they claim to be.

So, do I think they’re worth it and how did I find them?

They are all very sheer; one slick applies a lovely natural glow. Something that would be perfect for the gym, beach, supermarket… A few additional swipes and you have a colour that is buildable and more intense.

I have to say that I found this product really beneficial whilst enjoying a day at the gym and spa. I like to wear a little makeup to the gym; mascara and lipstick are my two essentials. I don't like the natural shape of my lips and so wouldn't wear a balm only, but a heavily lined lip when you have no makeup on can look weird. That's where I found the Lip Glows helpful - they added a touch of colour and definition without being as dramatic as lipstick, plus gave long-lasting hydration, even in the sauna (where I'd normally wear a balm anyway).

How To Get Mermaid Hair At Home

You Will Need

• A bleaching kit (if you have dark hair.)
• Hair dye
• Applicator brush
• An old shirt
• Color protecting shampoo and conditioner
• Clips for sectioning
• Hairbrush/comb
• Gloves
• Petroleum jelly
• Plastic bowls

Pre-Lightening

1. Ensure that your hair has not been washed in 2-3 days. The oils in your hair will help with the lightening process.
2. Brush out your hair to get rid of any tangles or knots.
3. Wear your gloves and apply the petroleum jelly along your hairline on your forehead, neck, and ears.
4. Following the instructions on the kit, mix your bleach.
5. Section away the crown part of your hair and as per the instructions on the kit, apply the bleach onto the loose hair with the applicator brush.
6. Once you’re done with the bottom sections, undo the sectioned away the top part of your hair and repeat the application process.
7. Leave the bleach on for the recommended duration of time and then proceed to shampoo and condition your hair.

Note: You might have to repeat this process a couple of times to achieve the desired lightness.

Coloring

1. Once you’ve pre-lightened your hair, pick some mermaid colors of your choice.
2. Ensure that your hair has been freshly washed and conditioned.
3. Brush out your hair to get rid of any tangles or knots.
4. Wear your gloves and apply the petroleum jelly along your hairline on your forehead, neck, and ears.
5. Pour the hair dye into bowls. Have a separate bowl for each color if you are using more than one. For an ombre effect, take two bowls; one containing hair dye, and another containing hair dye that has been diluted with conditioner. (Arctic fox, manic panic, pravana, pulp riot, and crazy color are some good brands to work with.)
6. Start applying the dye onto your lightened hair in sections. You can paint random strands with different colors, or you can use one or multiple colors to create an ombre effect.
7. Once you’ve applied the dye, wait for 30 minutes.
8. Wash your hair with a color protecting shampoo and conditioner.
